The Roboreptile is an robotic toy brought to you by WowWee.  Robotic toys continue to gain popularity and dinosaur toys in particular continue to gain fans.  Roboreptile exhibits advanced robotic features which can be controlled via remote control or based on its settings can growl, snap, whip its tail and even "protect" an area in Guard Mode.  Though the roboreptile toy dinosaur is recommended for ages 8-12 given it's "Wow" factor it is also popular with older fans of robotic scientific type toys and can also be considered a collectible. 

The roboreptile price can scare some buyers off because though it's sticker price is pretty reasonable at $49.99 from the manufacturer it is usually sold out.  That leads to specialty stores listing them on Amazon for much higher prices but because of the high demand for this hot toy even they tend to be sold out.  For a Christmas gift you may consider buying the Roboreptile mini which is also available on Amazon is much cheaper.  If it's a major hit you can always upgrade to the full size Roboreptile later.

The WowWee Roboreptile Robotic Toy exhibits lifelike motion and behavior.  He can be hungry where he snaps at make believe food or asleep in sleep mode.  The Guard mode reminds me of your own personal guard dog.  What kid would not think that is cool?  Being a robotic toy you do have to do your homework with the instructions.  Amazon has a roboreptile review on their website that talks about some of the tricky aspects of the remote control and commands.  The remote control uses infrared technology which means you need to be closer to the roboreptile robot dinosaur to make sure it gets the signal.  If it does not get the signal it breaks into self programmed routines.

Roboreptile moves in many ways.
